XVII. The Star

Brotherhood of Light Tarot: Arcanum XVII. The Star

Arcanum XVII. The Star

The Star shines bright after the dust of the Tower settles. We have survived the collapse of personal constructs that trapped us in a remote location high up in the clouds. The stacked conditions for each static position built the whole structure with inflexible additions surmounted by a dome of the idealist—the crown of a tangible perfection. Yet the Star grants the understanding that perfection is in change, and the harmonious song of perfect life is one that maintains the organic, the dynamic character of Nature. Thus the Star is the one that gives and pours out in abundance the dual Elixirs of Life, an intentive and inventive force that awakens the quality of quicksilver—the Alchemist’s Mercury. We have completed our performance and granted the work through the art of inspiration that bleeds expressions of the soul through the act of sublimation. We find that health arrives through tranquility of the mind, as the dualities of Gemini (the twins of conscious logic and intuition) reign from a land under the same Sun. The Star is born upon the seal of conjunction—the assimilation of dual perception—from which the nourishing elixir arrives. The Elixir of Life is born of one’s personal insight, a sort of Star Light—the zenith that shines faith in self-assurance, endows the affinity of understanding, the gift that no matter the condition, regenerates. At the zenith of one’s experience Stella Maris affirms, “What is above is what is below.”

If this is your card, it’s your moment to shine at a time of great challenge. This shift may come to you as a personal insight that both the conscious mind of the emotions and the intellect act as contrasting indicators to navigate the visible and invisible realms to discern the nature and naturality of each illusion in Maya that paints the frame of reality. Now is the time to pull insight from the promise in one’s own person. You may find the tranquil sea flows steady in between to afford the valiant the Elixir of Life. Thus, the appearance of the star reminds to fix one’s gaze to the source of harmony born of inspiration in compromise from the light inside. The one never wanting shall be reborn with the intrinsic gift of the immortal.
